Bangalore: Waymo, an intelligent sales engagement platform for financial institutions, has raised $22 million in a Series C funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments, which includes existing investors Emergence Capital and Sequoia Capital, a company statement said.

As part of the financing, BII’s Rohit Sood will join the company’s board, the statement said.

“2021 was a significant year for us with over 20% quarterly growth, 142% NRR, zero logo churn, entry into the US with wins like Berkshire Hathaway and some of the biggest insurers in Japan. Sales Tech is a $10 billion plus opportunity in just these two countries and this fundraising will help us accelerate our growth plans for these markets,” said Yamini Bhat, Co-Founder and CEO.

“Vymo is building the next generation of intelligent sales automation tools that will make a huge and direct impact on the toplines of our customers around the world. Product engagement is something we have never seen before in any product segment. Yamini and Venkat’s market understanding and execution focus is exceptional and we are delighted to partner with them”, said Rohit Sood, Partner, BII.

Waymo was founded in 2013 by McKinsey alumnus Yamini Bhat and Google alumnus Venkat Malladi.
