UP Assembly Election 2022Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said the Samajwadi Party-led alliance will score a double century of seats till the fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh elections and asked people to ensure a historic victory for the alliance. He also took a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his alleged promise of providing laptops to those who “take admission in Inter after passing class 12th”.
Intermediate is the short form of Intermediate and refers to class 11 and 12.
“There is a leader in the BJP who… gave a statement on distribution of laptops, and whoever heard it, got blown away,” he said.
Yadav said at an election meeting here, “He said laptops will be given to those who take admission in Inter after 12th. It is good that he did not say that those who do 10th after Inter will get laptops, otherwise people will get upset. ”
Highlighting the BJP targeting the Samajwadi Party with new words, he said, “They are going A for this, B for this… and reading ABCD these days.”
“I want to teach them Hindi… ‘Kaka’ means ‘Kala Kanoon’ (black agricultural law) which is gone and so will ‘Baba’ (Yogi Adityanath).”
Enthused by the huge crowd in the meeting, the Samajwadi Party chief said that seeing this mass gathering, many BJP leaders would become invisible.
“The fourth phase of polling will mark a double century for us. Now it is the responsibility of the people to ensure a historic victory for the Samajwadi Party-led alliance,” Yadav said.
Referring to the violence that took place in Lakhimpur Kheri district in October last year, he alleged that the son of a minister had “crushed the farmers” and that the government did not take any action initially.
