Assam-based Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Engineers India Limited (EIL) for expansion of research activities.
NRL said that Engineers India Limited holds 4.37% stake in Numaligarh Refinery Limited, and this MoU will lead to greater synergy between these two reputed Oil and Gas Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) for development and licensing of indigenous technologies, which that will make a significant contribution to the vision. ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
The agreement was signed by Senior CGM (CA) NRL, N Borthakur, and Executive Director (R&D) EIL, Rajeev Agarwal.
NRL also presented a second interim dividend check of Rs. 95.63 crore to the Government of Assam for the financial year 2021-22 for an equity stake of 26% in the company.
Earlier on 16 March 2022, the Board of Directors of NRL had approved the payment of second interim dividend at the rate of 50% on the paid up share capital of Rs 735.63 crore for the financial year 2021-22 (ie Rs. 10/- equity shares of Rs.
Accordingly, the dividend payable to the Government of Assam against its 26% shareholding is Rs.95.63 crore.
The first interim dividend amounting to Rs 86.35 crore for the financial year 2021-22 was paid to the Government of Assam on November 29, 2021 as part of equity holding of 23.48% of the paid-up share capital of Rs 735.63 crore.
