Bhuvneshwar Kumar becomes first Indian pacer to scalp 150 wickets in IPL history

Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Sunday became the first Indian fast bowler to reach the 150-wicket milestone in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Veteran Indian Tej Bhuvneshwar took the 150th wicket while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2022 match against Punjab Kings at the Dr DY Patil Stadium here.

After West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo (174) and Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga (170), the SRH star is the third fast bowler to take 150 wickets in the IPL.

Amit Mishra (166), Piyush Chawla (157), Yuzvendra Chahal (151) and Harbhajan Singh (150) are the other three bowlers who have achieved the milestone.

In the match against PBKS, the 32-year-old put up an impressive performance for SRH as he took 3/22 in his four overs and combined with Umran Malik (4/28) to bowl out PBKS for 151 runs. SRH batsmen chased down the par with seven balls to spare and won by seven wickets.

This is the fourth win for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 which has propelled them to the fourth spot while it is their third loss in six matches to Punjab Kings.
